Fasting - Abstain from all or some kinds of food or drink, for a spiritual purpose. "Brings one into a deeper, more intimate and powerful relationship with the Lord."- ( Franklin, 2008)
Here is an outline of the different types of fast.
Partial Fast
This involves giving up particular foods and drinks for an extended period of time. Good guide is found in the book of Daniel. Daniel with three Hebrew boys refused choice meats and sweets from the king's table. Daniel 1:12-15 They consumed instead vegetables and water.
Normal Fast
You normally go without food for a certain number of days. You drink plenty of water !!! Added to this fast to maintain your strength is clear broth and juices. Matthew 2-11
Absolute Fast
This involves taking in nothing for a period of time. This Fast must be inspired by the Lord.
